From securing our accommodation to the fine details of choosing our breakfast our every need was catered for. Prior parking before checking was allowed which enabled us to have a slow walk to the race course. Our stay was as always unquestionable. The heating was on for our arrival the room clean and fresh. Home from home. Though slightly out of town and on a rural area easy enough to either walk or taxi in to the centre.Definitely our place to stay when exploring the are.

We stayed at HighView cottage for our pre wedding evening and our wedding evening. As there was a small group of us, we booked 2 rooms. Both were very comfortable and immaculate, the garden area is very beautiful and nice for a coffee and vino. Breakfast was fabulous from a choice of cereals orange juice water, and a full cooked English with toast and a cuppers, in which you were given a choice of what you would like and you could have s much toast cuppas as you wanted. We booked here for our wedding,both Kayleigh and Simon are very lovely, welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay special. This is the first wedding party at Highview Cottage, I would highly recommend highview for this or any other special occasion.

Firstly for us after seeing online pictures of the roomsparking was essential and secure. The rooms were exactly as they looked online fresh clean and warm on arrival. Plenty of plugs for charging and even had hairdryer. The bed linen was crisp and white. The host amazing answered all our questions and very goes the extra mile for visitors. So close to racecourse but far enough away from hustle and noise. Definitely stopping again.

We have family that have recently moved to Uttoxeter, so after looking on line we rang High View Cottage to see if they had a walk in shower for my Mum who would also be joining us as her mobility is not very good for getting in and out of a bath. We spoke to Keely who informed us that one of their rooms had a wet room, and that if we booked two rooms direct with them, we would get the best price. We booked on line and then checked in online. On arrival there was ample parking. The rooms where beautiful, very clean with ample space. The wet room was fantastic. With High View Cottage being with in easy reach of the town center we will definitely be visiting again.

A lovely place to stay. From the warm welcome upon arrival to breakfast and departure. And that was just Eddie, you'll find out. Although fairly close to a busy road, the actual place was so quiet. Very clean and tidy with a well prepared breakfast. Ample sockets in each room and hot water that came out of both taps and shower without delay. A nice courtyard and a lovely sheltered area where you can sit if it's either too hot or raining. Easy access to the parking area which is nicely marked out. Very little traffic directly outside the premises and the journey back into Uttoxeter rolls back down the hill with some lovely views and rather grand residences overlooking the race course. This is the best way back into town. A pleasant place to stay.

We booked our stay at High View Cottage due to its close proximity to Alton Towers and we were not disappointed. Travelling with two teenage boys we were able to book two adjoining rooms (twin and double) with an inter connecting door. The rooms wereclean and stylish, and after a cold and damp day at alton towers, on arrival we found the heating on and both the rooms warm. The property was easy to find on the outskirts of Uttoxeter, with lots of places to eat in town and approximately 30 minutes from Alton Towers (just over 8 miles away and well signposted).Keely was an excellent communicator throughout the booking process, breakfast was lovely and set us up well for day 2 at the theme park.We genuinely wouldn't bother looking elsewhere if we have a couple of days in the area again. We took our daughter to stay at High View Cottage for one night last weekend to celebrate her birthday at Alton Tower. It was an ideal place to stay, not far from the theme park, very clean and quiet. A short distance away nearby is the town centre. My family and I booked 4 rooms at High View and we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.I booked our room only a week before our stay and Keely was so helpful and ensured that we had the room we needed which included the sofa bed for my daughter.I ordinarily don’t divert from hotels, so on arrival to High View I was very pleasantly surprised. Such a gorgeous, quaint property. Our room was immaculate, cosy and we felt completely relaxed before the next day at Alton Towers.As my family and I had booked 4 rooms we all occupied the breakfast room in the morning which was lovely and plentiful. Yet again, Keely ensured that we were accommodated with the time we needed.Should you be considering High View for your overnight stay or stay for a few nights - you must! Very clean & quiet with alovely courtyard for enjoying the sunshine. As the name suggests it sits above Uttoxeter at the top of a steep hill. Very walkable to town but a struggle back up the hill, then again that's why we have taxis. Would stay again.

Everything was perfect for our overnight stay…. A long ride back from the Isle of Man was broken up with a stop over at High View and the facilities were perfect. Everything spotless and the attention to detail on par with great hotels. Shower was piping hot and powerful which was a welcome as the hotel we used whilst away was not on par…. Rooms were good sized and extremely comfortable….. breakfast was fantastic too…. I would 100% return and recommend to anyone to stay…. And a special thanks for allowing us to park our bikes in your car port…!!!

Found High View Cottage when looking for accommodation to attend an event at Cannock Chase. This is quiet simply an excellent B&B, ran by a couple who care about your stay. The booking and check in process was simple and the room more than adequate for our stay. The breakfast was fabulous, yes we had to pre book our requirements and time but it worked seamlessly. Our five night stay in High View was without fault. It is the perfect crossover between a hotel and B n B as every guest has there own front door and easy access via a gravelled drive and enclosed courtyard. We booked a 3 night stay whilst visiting our son who lives in the area. A warm welcome awaited us with an easy check in. The room was very clean and warm as the weather turned chilly during our stay. Breakfast was served very efficiently and was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend a stay here with warm welcoming hosts.

We have just come back from a weekend stay (Fri - Sun) at HighView cottage. A really nice B&B which is located far enough away from the town centre of Uttoxeter but close enough to get to and from. The purpose of our visit was to go to the races on the Saturday but we also enjoyed some lovely meals out at the Dog and Partridge and the Shrewsbury Arms a short taxi ride away on the Friday and Saturday evenings. The B&B itself has 5 luxurious out rooms that were cosy and warm then to walk five yards to the dining area for a wonderfully cooked full English breakfast was just great. Kerry was a wonderful host and even gave us a lift to the racecourse a mile or so away from the cottage free of charge. We couldn’t ask for any more we will definitely return.

So searching for somewhere to stay close to Alton Towers for myself and my son. Wanted somewhere nice and clean but not overpriced. Stumbled upon this and messaged with my questions like late check in, breakfast requirements etc etc. Keely responded very quickly with a answers to all my questions. Offered help and advice along the way. I received an email on the day of check in, confirming details and everything went so smoothly. Was late when we arrived but it hit the following day the realisation is this village is stunning. This is a family run B&B, who we met at breakfast and we’re all lovely and accommodating. The cottage and grounds were beautifully kept. The rooms were quaint and perfect and, above all impeccably cleaned. The breakfast room was small but stunning and again 5* clean. A weekend in an area I didn't know bought me and my family to Uttoxeter and we were delighted to find High View Cottages.The self-contained studio rooms were lovely and clean with great outlooks and had everything we needed.Great breakfast and entertainment from Eddie, the dog, and Keeley very kindly went out of her way and collected me from the train station.We will definitely book again.

We stayed one night for a friend's party at the racecourse. The room (four poster) was immaculate and the location is rural but not far from town. Plenty of parking and a very attractive little courtyard for relaxing in. Our only criticisms were the amount of signage on the walls... we don't really need to know when the tv remote control was last cleaned! And the breakfast menu referred to 'squashy' tomatoes which turned out to be tinned. Why not just say 'tinned'? But otherwise a very good value B&B

With regards to the signage in your room, since re-opening after lock down certain measures were necessary to ensure the safety of our guests. We wanted you to feel confident that every effort has been made to clean and sanitise the areas that you would be most at risk i.e. door handles, light switches and of course your TV remote. There is also a sign warning you of the very dangerous pull out at the end of our road, again for your safety.As far as the tomatoes go, we think squashy sounds more fun!

We stayed in the twin room and were blown away by how lovely the room was. With French doors opening out onto the courtyard garden. Highly recommend and will return when next in the area.

We travelled as a family of 5 to visit Alton Towers and stayed in interconnecting rooms 4 and 5. The rooms were spotlessly clean and the beds were comfy with lovely soft duvets. Keely prepared a very tasty English breakfast with tea, coffee and fresh orange juice.There was also a good selection of cereals and jams.We enjoyed our stay at High View cottage and would definitely stay again.

We were visiting Alton Towers theme park, we would usually stay at the Alton Towers Hotel but were disappointed with the selection of restaurants last time we stayed there. High View Cottage was a much better alternative.The location was excellent with only a short drive to the restaurants nearby. I had chosen High View Cottage largely on the basis of its very high cleanliness rating: well, I got that and much more. A generously sized, stylish, and yes, spotless room, in a delightful courtyard setting, all adjacent to the original house where the owners live, giving privacy to them and to guests. A wet-room style en-suite with a good shower; good WiFi; comfy bed - everything works as it should. Fantastic breakfast in the pretty sun room overlooking the courtyard, which still had lots of colour from the summer planting. Keely was warm, welcoming, interested and interesting, a lovely, genuine, helpful host. My night at High View Cottage was planned as somewhere to break a long journey, but ended up being a highlight of a necessary trip at a difficult time. Set in stunning countryside, the B&B is close to the amenities of Uttoxeter, but in a wonderful world of its own. I loved it! Thank you Keely.

All the touches you need for your stay to be enjoyable were there - mini toiletries, lovely fluffy towels, very comfy bed, and we had a little sofa to sit on too.Keely was friendly and welcoming and even provided a cool bag with my little boy's bedtime milk in it. What a lovely touch that made my life easier! Fast WiFi with great connection, I managed to very quickly download programs to keep him entertained in the car.Breakfast was delicious and Keely very kindly bought my son's out first so I could chop it up and let it cool before mine arrived.I think you should charge more for breakfast Keely, £5 for 2 people when there was cereal and juice plus hot drinks is very cheap! Check in and out simple and quick.If you are going to Alton Towers this is the place to stay. I will definitely return again with family when the circumstances allow. ?????

We stayed overnight following a day t Altpn Towers. Room was clean, although very small. The bathroom was particularly small, again was clean however there was a definite drain odour in the bathroom. Breakfast was lovely, pre ordered due to covid I'm assuming, the owners were extremely pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Would stay again although would request a larger room if possible asfamily of 4 it was a bit of a squeeze

Unfortunately, once the sofa bed is in use the room really does become cramped (as noted on our website)it really is the only room that will accommodate a family and as we took over the B&B we have no way of changing the structure of the size of the rooms.Alternatively we have a twin room with a connecting door to a double room but obviously that would incur the cost of another room.I had no idea that there was a drain smell but I will investigate that further now that you have told me.

Highview cottage is a lovely little place perfect for visiting Uttoxeter. The room is clean, fresh, and comfortable. The facilities are exactly what you would want. Everything has been considered. The hostess is lovely and very welcoming. The breakfast was lovely, what you want, when you want. I can’t think of a single fault or possible improvement. I’ve stayed twice this year and had my parents stay once as part of a special celebration. I will be staying again next year.Thank you.

Overall i had a lovely stay at Highview Cottages. Keeley was friendly,organised and attentive.The room and towels were clean, the shower was excellent,the garden was lovely, Wi-Fi was provided, the TV worked and the refreshments and toiletries were appreciated.The breakfast was good, with a range of cereal and cooked breakfast provided and Keeley catered for my dietary needs and was very accomodating. A couple of small improvements could be: an additional hash brown, tomatoes and mushrooms added to the breakfast; the four poster bed curtains did not shut. The safer route directions were useful. Thanks very much Keeley!

Keely was a very attentive host and the room and facilities were just perfect for a peaceful stay. A good walk into town through lovely countryside was a treat. Lovely little courtyard for pre dinner drinks. Only small comment is shower a little weak but did not detract from our enjoyment of the property.

We stayed here for one night after a day at the races , the owener collected us from the train station on arrival the room were set out lovely in beautiful setting , all refreshments an toileties required were on hand if needed , lovely quiet location , the owner was lovely and couldnt do enough for us , we ended our stay with a beautiful breafast of our own choice an time to eat what more could we ask for will definantly be returning xx

We chose High View Cottage as a result of previous reviews posted and were happy with our "motel" style accommodation though we did find the bathroom facilities quite compact. The gardens were very pretty and the location ideal for our trip to the races. Keeley the owner was very friendly and made us feel welcome and we had a hearty breakfast to start off each of the three days we spent there.

We had an overnight stay, while visiting Alton Towers. Highview cottage was an excellent base for this. Just a short 15 minute drive from the theme park. The accomodation was of a very high standard and our room was immaculate. Our host was very welcoming and accomodating, advising onnootions for where to eat in the evening and givi g us sone information about local shops. breakfast was very good and there was lots of variety. I would happily stay again and wouldn't hesitate to reccomend

Fantastic location for Alton Towers with nearly restaurants and shops. High view cottage has fantastic rooms which were clean, tidy and plenty of room, it’s an organised and friendly family run B and B, and the breakfast is great too! We will definitely return. Just completed a short break with our 10 month old daughter.Accommodation is spotlessly clean and of a very good standard and surrounding garden is beautifully maintained.Keely and Simon were very welcoming and made everything very easy.Would highly recommend to anyone, including families with children and would now not choose anywhere else when visiting family in the area.

We were staying at Uttoxeter for the races. And after reading the great online reviews. Booked High view cottage.This hotel is set just 1 mile from the town and 1 mile from the racecourse. And yet is in an idylic country setting. With each ensuite motel syle room having its own front door. This means you can come and go as you please. Without feeling that you may be disturbing someone.The room was very well presnted with an ensuite with shower, tv and four poster double bed.Our hosts couldn't of been any more attentive and welcoming. They even drove us to the races.We opted for the traditional full english breakfast. Which was very good. And obviously made with high quality ingredients.I would highly recomnend this hotel. And personaly when i am back in the area will definatley go back to High view cottage.

I couldn't have picked a better place to stay for a few days when taking my son to Alton towers. Beautiful accommodation with lovely hosts, I highly recommend High View to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Very comfortable clean and friendly. Accessible for the Park attractions and surrounding area. Standard breakfast food but tasty and plentiful.Good parking and reasonably priced would reccomend.

Travelling with my son for a job interview, we needed an overnight stop. High View Cottage was the perfect choice as the room was finished to a high standard, warm and clean with comfortable beds. The quiet rural location ensured a good night’s sleep. There was a good choice of options for breakfast which was generous and promptly served ensuring we had a good start for the busy day ahead. Our hosts even supplied a tie, which had been forgotten, to ensure the interview went well! Highly recommended.

We have been coming to Alton Towers for the past 10 years with our 3 children. This is by far the best B&B we have stayed in. The hosts were so friendly and nothing wsa a bother to them, They even done breakfast early for us. The rooms are modern and immaculately cleaned. Would definitely recommend, will be back next year.

What a lovely place to stay 😀 we stayed one night whilst attending a family birthday party. The rooms were comfortable and tastefully decorated. The location was nice and quiet but also near to Town as to not make it inconvenient. The owners were lovely and made us very welcome - I would 100% recommend High Veiw Cottage.

A charming place to stay. Lovely garden, nice comfortable room, good breakfast. Landlady was friendly and helpful. Own car park and situated in a quiet area on the outskirts of Uttoxeter. Will return if and when next in the area.

We have just stayed at High View Cottage for the first time since Keely and Simon took over, having been regular guests before.
