Booking Confirmations

Your booking is not confirmed until you have a reservation reference number issued direct by confirmatory email/voice message/text or conversation.

Deposit and Cancellations

For the foreseeable future all Covid-19 related cancellations will receive a full refund.

Deposits are non-refundable.  If cancellation is is given more than 1 month in advance we will endeavour to sell your room and refund your deposit. Cancellations of 7 days or less require full payment of the balance. Payments in full received at the time of reservation will be subject to a 50% refund should your stay be cancelled within our normal terms of notice. ie: 7 days or more notice of cancellation/non arrival.

Prices

Prices may differ to those advertised. Prices are dependent on availability, season and occupancy.

Day of Arrival and Departure

Arrival is normally from 4.15pm to 9pm. Special arrangements for early or later registration can be made, particularly on Uttoxeter race days i.e. noon prior to afternoon racing. Please ask when booking. You should aim to vacate your room by 10.00am on your day of departure.

Arrival and Departure Times

High View Cottage reserves the right to refuse Guests entry outside of confirmed registration times. This is to ensure comfort and an undisturbed evening for our other registered guests. In such circumstances payment for the night already booked will still be payable as we will have reserved the suite for you and will have been unable to let the suite to another party in the period since the initial reservation. High View Cottage considers failure to arrive and register in the correct period as breach of contract and will pursue any sum outstanding in full for all nights reserved regardless of late or non-appearance by a guest(s). Notwithstanding the above High View Cottage will allow use of the room if reserved for the next and subsequent nights subject to the following; Guests who have missed arrival and registration in the period 5pm to 8.30 pm on arrival day will be required to register the next day between the hours of 9am and 12 noon before access is granted. Payment in full for all reserved nights, including the night missed, will be required at registration. If a guest fails to register and arrive at this second opportunity High View Cottage will immediately attempt to relet the room for that and any subsequent reserved nights. No further opportunity to register will be given and breach of contract will be assumed. Should the room not be relet the balance of all reserved and unlet nights will be due from the guest who made the reservation.

Breakfast

Please Note:  Breakfast will not  be available during  the period 1/12/19-13/2/19.  Room only can be booked at this time.

Breakfast is normally served between 8.00am and 9.00am. We will arrange with you on registration when you would like to have breakfast within the breakfast hour, or if there is a specific time outside of that mentioned.

Parking

Private parking is provided for all guests. All vehicles are left at owner's risk. Only guests' vehicles are permitted.

Pets

We can advise guests on local kennels should they require pet accommodation.

Damages and Breakages

We do not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to guests' property whilst staying at High View Cottage. All damage and breakages must be reported and guests agree to cover all costs involved, however minor. Take-away meals are not allowed in the guest rooms.

Conditions

The accommodation shall be used only by the persons listed on the Booking Form. The person making the booking must be over 18 years of age. The manager may immediately retake possession of the accommodation if, in his/her opinion, any member of the party is guilty of conduct which is likely to cause unreasonable disturbance to others. The Hirer will be held responsible for the contents of the accommodation in his/her possession. Any breakages, loss or damage to the premises, fixtures and fittings must be paid for. Pets are not allowed.

Groups and Parties

High View Cottage is the family home of Keely and Simon Danks. We wish to create a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere for the families and couples who visit us as our guests. We ask all our guests to be mindful of the needs of others. We reserve the right to ask all guests to leave immediately should their behaviour in the opinion of the owners transgress reasonable levels. Payment in full will be required and no refund will be issued. This determination is at the total discretion of the management of High View Cottage. No all male parties accepted.

Visitors

In order to ensure the personal safety and security of all our guests and for insurance purposes, visitors of guests are not permitted. Should guests have other friends staying at another establishment nearby, please make arrangements to meet elsewhere. Similarly, only guests' cars are permitted in the driveway.

No Smoking

For the further comfort and safety of our guests, High View Cottage has a definite "No Smoking" policy. For the avoidance of doubt, therefore, smoking is not permitted within any part of the premises. This includes the outside gardens, rear garden, paths and driveway. A single sheltered area is provided for smoking and is the only location where smoking is permitted.

Fire Doors & Equipment

On no account should fire doors be propped open. Tampering with fire equipment is also not permitted . These measures have been provided for the safety of all our guests and the results of tampering have potentially serious consequences.
